solid
stonework
Dawson Hall is an office
building on the Vilcom Campus, located on Weaver Dairy Road, Chapel Hill,
across from Timberline Shopping Center and one light down from NC 86.
Also about two blocks from the I-40 exit onto NC 86. The wall is
in a public space between two office buildings, just beyond the fountain
in the traffic circle as you drive into the campus. People interested
in seeing my work will find this to be an easy spot to visit as it's public.
The stone used was "shiloh" and came from Scott Sand and Stone in Mebane, NC. The wall is about 20" in height, and about 38' long. The idea was a place for people to sit and have lunch, enjoy the breeze and shade that seems to always grace the site, and of course have world-changing ideas for their various employers. Office space is at the moment still available in Dawson Hall, and interested parties should contact: Rosemary Waldorf
